Durante el tercer trimestre de 2001, la inflación anual de bienes transables se redujo, convergiendo a la inflación total (8,0%). Desde 1999 los bienes transables habían exhibido una inflación superior a la total, sin embargo, esta tendencia había comenzado a revertirse a comienzos del presente año. Por su parte, la inflación de bienes no transables repuntó ligeramente en el tercer trimestre y se situó, en septiembre, en 7,9%.

Annual inflation in tradables dropped over the third quarter, down to the rate of overall inflation (8.0%); it had been higher than the latter since 1999 but began to converge toward it from the beginning of this year. In contrast, inflation in nontradables went up slightly over the third quarter, running at 7.9% in September.
